MORRISON
Winston has a strong creative flair
in music and dance. At the young age of 17 he achieved his Licenciate Diploma
(L Mus.A) and since 2005, has danced and played professionally. He also played in his first concerto at the age of 14 with a full
orchestra .
He has danced at many events and
venues including Peter Nortons’ Symphony Space on Broadway in New York, St.
Regis Hotel in Singapore, FINA World Swimming Championships, Australian
Construction Expo, Caulfied Racecourse, Chapel of Chapel, Athenaeum Theatre,
Melbourne Town Hall, Melbourne Central Shopping Centre and on the streets.
Additionally Winston has appeared on national TV including ABC Sunday Arts
Program and the Channel 9 Today Show.
Committed to study the tap art form
more intensely, Winston took time off his Physiotherapy course to study tap
from the masters through his travels to the New York and Los Angeles Tap
Festivals in 2008. Winston was also flown to Sydney as a Top 8 Finalist to
compete in the grand final of the So You Think You Can Dance Westfield Dance
Off.
Through his 3 month stay in America,
Winston was able to take home influences from great dancers such as Derick
Grant, Kendrick Jones, Jared Grimes, Dr. Bunny Briggs, Dr. Harold Cromer, Ivery
Wheeler, Marshall Davis Jnr, Ayodele Casele, Dormeshia Sumbry-Edwards, Michelle
Dorrance, Jason Samuels Smith, Chloe Arnold, Dianne Walker, Ted Levy, Barbara
Duffy and Savion Glover.
